Building a basic wardrobe with clothing pieces that can help you create great everyday outfits is not as difficult as you might think. I don't know about you, but for the longest time i found myself each morning standing in front of my closet trying to figure out what to wear. Even though i have more than enough clothes nothing seemed to work perfectly to give me an outfit that would satisfy my fashion needs and be comfortable enough for a busy city life. So after spending countless hours of researching, shopping and trying different combinations i have found the best items to help you build a basic wardrobe that will make you look put together in minutes, without having to spend your entire morning wondering what to wear.
Boyfriend jeans
Biker jacket
A good quality biker jacket is essential to every wardrobe. I find it so versatile whether i'm wearing my favorite pair of jeans, leggings & sweatshirts or even my little black dress. It makes me feel put together instantly, plus it gives me that cool-girl vibe that i love! Real leather jackets are always good but you don't have to break the bank to own one. Zara makes some of my favorite faux leather jackets & i find them really good for their price tag.

Boyfriend jeans
When i am opting for the ultimate everyday laidback look my first choice is always a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. Paired with a graphic t-shirt & black ankle boots I would wear them every day of the week. They are super comfy and versatile & paired with the right items such as a pair of pointy pumps you can even make them look sexy and polished.

White sneakers
White sneakers were everywhere in 2016, from the runways to the sidewalks, and for a good reason. They look good with anything and they're comfortable enough to run around the city. I love to wear them with a black midi dress and a bomber jacket, but you can pair them with absolutely anything you have in your closet without having to worry twice if they match your outfit. Throw them in your suitcase the next time you leave town for the weekend and remember to thank me later.

Basic black/white t-shirt
A selection of good quality basic black & white t-shirts should be a staple to any wardrobe in my opinion. O prefer a crew neck instead of a V-neck t-shirt because i think it looks far more elegant in an everyday basis.
Trenchcoat
Probably the most stylish coat you could have in your closet. It goes well with any outfit and in my opinion is a staple in every fashionista's wardrobe.
Ankle boots
I love wearing ankle boots with almost all my outfits, whether it is skinny jeans, a mini dress or even my favourite pair of qulottes (I practically live in them). I recommend you go out and treat yourself to a pair. It can be a classic black leather boot, or a velvet one, a wedge or a block heel. I promise you, you won't refret the splurge!
